Godavari Engineering College celebrated Shiv Jayanti with Enthusiasm and Gaiety

 

 

The birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the idol of Maharashtra and the founder of Swarajya, was celebrated at the Godavari Foundation run Godavari Engineering College, Jalgaon on 6th March 2026 in a very enthusiastic and festive atmosphere. The personality of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who is respected not only in Maharashtra but all over the world, is still an inspiration. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the only king in the world who was born and died in a fort.

Principal of the college Dr. Vijayakumar Patil, Founder Dr. Tushar Koli, all department heads, faculty and students were present in large numbers. The program was started by Principal Dr. Vijayakumar Patil performed worship and aarti of Shiva statue.

On this occasion, the male and female students of the college participated enthusiastically in the program wearing traditional costumes. A grand procession of Shivaji Maharaj was taken out from the college premises to the sound of drums and lazim squad. The slogans of “Jai Bhawani, Jai Shivaji” and “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai” shook the entire area.

During the procession, the first year students presented a street play and conveyed the message of nurturing and protecting the forts. He also appealed to the young generation to preserve the identity and culture of Maharashtra.

After the procession, a cultural program was organized in the auditorium hall of the college. The program started with Shivaarti and Shivapalana presentation. The students then mesmerized the audience by performing powades, patriotic songs, dances and Vakritva based on Shivacharitra.

On this occasion, students Nidhi Baisane, Rituja Theng, Utkarsha Rajput, System Musale, Chetna Sonwane, Divya Bhandarkar, Rajshree Yadav, Chetas Patil and Bhavesh Rawalkar gave inspiring thoughts about the work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Chetna Sonawane bagged the first rank and Divya Bhandarkar bagged the second rank among the students who presented the best distortion. Honor them by awarding them trophies

Grand Blood Donation Camp Organized on the 66th Birthday of Dr. Ulhas Patil at Godavari Engineering College

 

On the occasion of the 66th birthday of Dr. Ulhas Patil, President of Godavari Foundation and a guiding force in the field of education, a grand Blood Donation Camp was organized on 23rd February 2026 at Godavari Engineering & Polytechnic College.

This noble initiative reflected the spirit of social responsibility and service, receiving an overwhelming response from students, faculty members, and staff.

Along with Principals, Heads of Departments, Professors, and Students from all institutions under Godavari Foundation.

 

The event began with floral tributes to Late Godavari Aadhi, followed by a warm felicitation of Dr. Ulhas Patil by all Principals. The birthday celebration was made even more special with a cake-cutting ceremony, accompanied by a melodious performance by Prof. Nakul Gadge.

 

In his inspiring address, Dr. Ulhas Patil encouraged students to prepare themselves for the AI-driven future. He emphasized excellence in engineering, global competitiveness, and holistic personality dvelopment, urging students to bring pride to the institution at national and international levels.

 

On this occasion, trophies and prizes were also distributed to the winning teams of the Presidential Premier League organized under the Godavari Foundation.

 

The Blood Donation Camp was successfully conducted with the support of the Blood Bank team from Dr. Ulhas Patil Medical College & Hospital, Jalgaon, including:

More than 80 blood donors participated in the camp, setting a remarkable example of social commitment.

 

Dr. Ulhas Patil, Dr. Varsha Patil (Secretary), Dr. Ketaki Patil (Member), and Dr. Aniket Patil appreciated the dedicated efforts of the organizing team. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Vijaykumar Patil, faculty members, organizing committee, Prof. Velchand Hole, and the Student Council ensured the grand success of the event.

 

The program was beautifully anchored by Tulja Mahajan, Dinky Shadani, Nupur Chaudhary, and Pushpal Fegade.

77th Republic Day Celebrated with Pride at GF's Godavari College of Engineering


The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and unity at GF's Godavari College of Engineering, Jalgaon, run by Godavari Foundation, on 26 January 2026. This year’s celebrations were held under the national theme “150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’.

The program began with the grand arrival of Hon.  Dr  Ulhas  Patil, President of Godavari Foundation, accompanied by a band squad, followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, which filled the campus with patriotic fervor and slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Jai Hind.”

The event was graced by  Dr  Varsha  Patil (Secretary), Dr. Vijaykumar Patil (Principal, Godavari College of Engineering), Mrs. Neelima Chaudhary (Principal, Godavari English Medium School), along with principals of Godavari Foundation institutions, heads of departments, faculty members, and students.

A disciplined march past by the students of Godavari English Medium School was a major highlight of the celebration. This was followed by patriotic and cultural performances by students of Godavari English Medium School, Godavari College of Engineering, and Polytechnic, including dances, songs, speeches, and creative presentations reflecting national unity and constitutional values.

 Dr  Vijaykumar  Patil extended Republic Day greetings and appreciated the students’ performances and academic achievements. He also spoke about emerging technologies such as quantum computing, encouraging students to develop expertise in futuristic domains, and praised faculty members for their valuable contributions in academics and research.

Hon.  Dr  Ulhas  Patil, President of Godavari Foundation, commended the excellent organization of the event and shared valuable insights on global developments, discipline, physical fitness, and holistic knowledge as key factors for success. Emphasizing India’s status as a sovereign nation, he encouraged students to uphold their rights and responsibilities and actively contribute to nation-building.

The celebration concluded on a patriotic note with the soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram,” leaving the campus filled with pride, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of national spirit
